New Giveaway - Flat iron!

Well if you know me, you know I have a lot of hair. While it seems so straight to most it's because I use my curling iron like a flat iron and work out my lovely partial wave. I mean, if I had a nice pretty wave to my hair I'd leave it, but no...it's only part of my hair that has wave to it, and it's frizzy too!
So, Vilate (http://niftynappy.blogspot.com/) is hosting a giveaway from Misikko (http://www.misikko.com/) of their flat iron. Well I'd love to win this flat iron :) You can also enter to win this giveaway on Vilate's blog.

Sad :(

So I'm very sad today. This is my last week before I go back to work from my maternity leave. I'll be happy to see everyone that I work with, but I really don't want to leave Illyana. I'd love to stay home and watch her grow...I hate the thought of missing her first word, her first step, her first anything. Granted I only work 3 days a week, but what if she does something while I'm there :( It makes me want to cry. Oh well...such is life.

On a less depressing note, Illyana had her two month appointment today and she was a champ. She's now 10 lbs 3 oz, 22 inches long, and only cried for 2 seconds when she got her shot. What a big girl!

So does anyone read this?

I'm posting about this giveaway that I am really excited about. I'm more excited for what we're trying to accomplish, and the giveaway is just an added bonus (that I'd love to win).

Homeowners!

Ok! So I have a great excuse to not have my blog updated recently. We've been trying to get this house to go through and FINALLY it has happened! We are legal homeowners! YEAH!!! We're a bit excited, can you tell? The moving process is going a bit slower than I like only because with school and work there isn't a whole lot of time to actually move the stuff :) But none the less we're getting it done.

Tomorrow I'm going to move some more boxes up to the house and clean clean clean before I head to work. Joe's getting back late tonight (still not home yet so I get to blog :D ) from Parker, AZ with our couches and whatnot. Next weekend we're going to take a trip to Utah to pick up the stuff I have sitting in mom and dad's shop (which I know they'll be ecstatic about), and hopefully while we're there we'll see some family and friends.

So I have promised to take pictures of the place once we're moved in...and I will, but give me time, this is looking like its going to be a slow process. We'll I'm out for now...we'll keep you updated on the process. :)

Books Books Books

I have been reading this series of books by Charlaine Harris called the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I love them. They are so addicting. (but for those thinking about picking up these novels, they're quite graphic, so be warned) Anyways, there are 8 books out so far, and I've finished them all. The next book doesn't come out til May. MAY?!? That's too far away! So I've picked up random books here and there waiting til May. A friend did suggest another series that seems pretty good so far that should keep me busy til then. So off I go to read my book...

A topic for another day...Movies my other huge obsession!

Crafty Lucy...or not so much...

I want to do crafts. Thing is..I'm really not a very crafty person. So I'm open to ideas and suggestions. I have pictures that I'd like to put in some sort of program and onto disks. I'm not huge on actual scrapbooking. I tried to, but I just don't have good ideas. I'd like to make soaps and lotions, but don't really have the room at the moment, but hope to change that in the near future. So if you have an recipes..I'd love to have some. I'd like to lear to crochet and knit...but don't have a whole lot of time. I will eventually learn how to do this. I like to sew and plan on sewing more often once I have an area to set up my sewing machine. I love decorating, but don't really have anything to decorate. I'd like to make cards to send to people, but don't have ideas. So...pretty much...eventually I'd love to do lots of crafts. Oh and cooking! I love to cook. So if you have any ideas or recipes or anything that has anything to do with any crafts that I mentioned (and would like to share them) feel free :)
